How fasting helped me
My journey began many years ago when I followed the 5:2 fast by Dr. Mosley.
It was a good way for me to get rid of stubborn pounds!
In 2014, I entered menopause and started having symptoms. That was when my real journey began. The solution I was provided did not align with my desired direction.
I gained knowledge and experience until I understood the entire picture.
Functional medicine has solutions that are aligned with my personal beliefs.
What I learned was that poor nutrition and stress are the biggest culprits making us feel the way we do in menopause. This realization made me embrace a low-carb diet — and I started feeling big differences in my body.
Eating low-carb and doing intermittent fasting have been my tools for many years now.
Easy to follow and I get a more stable blood sugar level!
Along with my first-hand learnings. I expanded my knowledge and was certified in Nutrition and Keto Coaching. I was also recently educated as a Fasting Therapist.
The different fasting stages and protocols in FAST.EAT.THRIVE!™ are the final puzzle pieces I needed to optimize my health! They have become part of my daily life!
I keep track of my values regularly using a ketone/glucose meter and a fitness tracker watch.
My values have never been as good as they are now. I am getting into deep therapeutic ketosis.
My heart rate during sleep is around 50 bpm (before, it was around 60 bpm). Also, I am now down to my teenage weight with a healthy BMI (body mass index)!
